Who is Kim Benda
As a resident of Granite City, Kim Benda has spent her life raising her family and building her real estate business here in this great city. Over the past 4 years, Kim has noticed a great need for a change in leadership within the Granite City administration and is looking to be that change the city needs.
As mayor, Kim aims to return the city to its prior status as a treasured gem of Madison County. Working in the real estate business, Kim understand the idiosyncrasies of complex developmental paperwork, ordinance, and legalese that can help transform the current city into its prior glory.
Helping Kim as Mayor is a team of support staff looking to address the complex issues in the Building and Zoning, Clerk, and IT areas of City hall- allowing for a much needed improvement of the skill sets and knowledge base compared to the current staff.

21 years in real estate, starting in 2004 as a real estate agent and worked her way up to managing broker
Opened Epic Realty in 2013
Business Owner for over a decade
Started Epic Realty Property Management in 2013
Opened Benda’s Property Solutions (www.bendaspropertysolutions.com) which is a General Contractor business employing convicted felons with opportunities for second chances
In her free time, she works with and houses young men with addiction problems
Served on several real estate board communities such as groups giving education scholarships
Served on Granite City Growth Committee
Brought other business to Granite City including Granite City Urgent Care on Madison Ave- a huge asset to the community

4 sons and 7 grandchildren
Currently took custody of a 14 year old in hopes of fostering him to adoption
